Q: So why is a design process so important to follow when creating a solution to a problem?
A: An example as to why the design process is so important, is as follows.
So the grass is too tall. So a solution without the design process, is to rig up a laser beam to cut the grass as it reaches a certain height. No criteria and no process! So will it work? Sure it will. It may cost several million pounds to build and as well as cutting the grass, it will also cut down the trees on the property. But it works! But with the correct design criteria and process in place, the cost and available assets as well as evaluation will leads us to the lawn mower.
